Letter: Required training on research security for federal funding

As a result of changes to federal requirements, MIT will now require all “covered individuals” engaged in federally funded research to complete research security training by December 31, 2025. Earlier deadlines apply for NIH, NSF, and DOE proposals, awards, and modifications, and for any other agencies that set training deadlines this fall.

Letter: Change to cryogenic delivery services

The letter announces that the Cryogenic Laboratory (CryoLab) will close on October 1, and continuity of service for researchers who relied on the lab will be provided by the Institute’s preferred supplier for packaged gas services, Linde Gas and Equipment.  

Letter: New policy on employee conflict of commitment

The letter announces a new streamlined system, MyCOI-OPA+, for consolidated reporting of financial conflicts of interest and outside professional activities, as well as a Conflict of Commitment policy that applies to all Institute employees.

Name change: OSATT Core is now OSATT

From now on, OSATT Core will be known as the Office of Strategic Alliances, Transactions & Translation (OSATT).
