Members of the MIT research community can take courses in CITI or the Atlas Learning Center to fulfill training requirements or learn more about compliance topics. Many compliance courses are available through CITI, but the Research Security Training is hosted on the Atlas Learning Center.

Training Requirements
Federal policy requires training for certain researchers:
- All federally-funded PIs and key personnel (and others on per-project basis): Required to take Research Security training
- PIs, key personnel, and others on NSF awards: Required to take Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research training
MIT may require additional training based on your research. Review the guidance provided by the following groups to learn whether a course is required for your work.
