The Subaward Process

January 22, 2019  10-11am  (Building 46-3002)

We welcome all research administrators to join us for the Research Administration Practices (RAP) session on "The Subaward Process". The Subawards Team from the Office of Sponsored Programs will discuss the differences between a Subaward and Consultant, explain the process of establishing a Subaward (from proposal to award and closeout), and answer the following questions:

  • What do I do if I cannot find my Subaward in KC (Kuali Coeus)?
  • How long will it take to get my Subaward?
  • When should I reach out to the Subawards Team? Proposal stage? Award stage?

Proposal Approval: What DLCs Should Know

February 20, 2019  10-11am   (Building 46-3189)

The Proposal approval process may be confusing - what information does an Approver review? Do all Approvers (Department Head, Dean, Office of Sponsored Programs) review the same content? When might they require additional information?

Understanding the key components of proposal review can be beneficial to proposal preparers during proposal preparation. Please join your research administration colleagues as we discuss these questions and more in the RAP session "Proposal Approval: What DLCs should know". Experts from all Approver levels will walk through real life proposal examples, showing how they review a proposal, and instances when they may need more information before approving.
